Nothing like some last-minute egg dying. Actually, we dyed eggs a while ago when I was trying to collect egg cartons, but we did some more!

Don't Hate Me Because I'm Beautiful!

If you know me, then you know I LOVE to dress up and wear costumes! I am so glad that my mini-me inherited this passion. It is a rare occurance that a day goes by without numerous tutu or princess dress wardrobe changes. And, of course, Mommy's shoes are heaven!

Holly- 3 years old, This picture of me has always been one of my favorites!

Bailey- 3 years old, I would have liked to have gotten a whole body shot, but Bailey's crazy hair and dirty face said otherwise.

This picture is in NO WAY good, but it's about all I had to work with today. This is SO typical of what goes on at our house these days: B's always on the go, never wants to smile or even look at the camera, and she doesn't really like to wear pants. (Sorry to anyone who takes offense).

So I got really lucky on this one! We had ribs tonight (the Men's Group at church had a BBQ sale and it was DELICIOUS) and it reminded me of one of my favorite pictures growing up. Okay, you have to look past the really BAD perm and embarassing facial expression, but I still remember this trip to the Tona Romas in San Antonio. Of course, I did not let me child chow down on an entire rib, but she had a good time goofing off for the pictures!

I've been really lucky so far this week because Bailey has actually taken part in activities that I could find a picture of myself doing as well. So here's a couple of pics of me and my offspring riding on toys!

Holly- 1979, 1 year (There's that really cool 70s decor in the background again!)

Bailey- 2011, 3 years (As you might have noticed, tutus are a wardrobe staple at our house. What can I say though- I love dressing up too! And someone is in for a rude awakening when her younger brother is big enough to ride on this bus. I keep trying to put it up because she's too big for it, but I don't have the heart because she still loves it!)

If you look beyond the crazy outfit and hair (apparantly my mother took a little more pride in my appearance as a child), you will notice that both mother and daughter share the amazing talent of being able to play the slide guitar from a very early age!

I was going through some old pictures the other day of me when I was a little girl and decided that maybe this week I should do a mother/daughter comparison theme. These photos might have to be a little staged, but we'll see. Luckily, my child loves to swing and the weather has been perfect lately so this was a good one to start with.

Room Redo- Day 106

Last day of Room Redo Week- the finished product (minus a new taller bookcase to match the furniture which is not finished yet). Now that we know we're having a boy, it's off to doing another room!
