A Day in the Life of My Feet

Day 167- A Day in the Life

A Day in the Life of My Couch

Watch out! This might be excitement overload here! But actaully, my couch sees lots of excitement throughout the day. And today was a perfect day for this because we never left the house.

9:00AM- Izzie rolling around after her bath!

12:00 noon- My little streaker after taking off her wet swimsuit! Yes, yes, I wiped off the couch after she got down so you can all feel safe about sitting on it now!

5:30PM- Princess overload! Princess Bailey watching Sleeping Beauty, while looking through her Disney princess book, and playing with her Cinderella toy and Sleeping Beauty Barbie. I'm surprised she didn't ask to wear the Sleeping Beauty dress too!

9:00 PM- Mama and Max relaxing and watching So You Think You Can Dance (my favorite)!

Day 166- A Day in the Life...

A Day in the Life of my Poor Tree

I'll be perfectly honest, these pictures were not from today- they were from Saturday when the tree man came. But I knew this theme was coming up and I couldn't resist. A few months ago, we had two trees get struck by lightning. It was pretty scary, as Bailey and I were home alone and they were very close to the house. As you can see from the first picture, the bark almost entirely came off. So, this weekend we had them (plus some more trees) removed. These tree guys were on fire, chopping down trees left and right. But this one was the closest to the house and around lots of other stuff so it required the main tree guy to climb up and cut his way down.

Since I knew we wouldn't be home for the majority of the day. I decided to take my camera on the road with me today and show you...

A Day in the Life of Herb the Burb (that's my suburban's name!)

These pictures are not the best quality, since they were taken through the windshield with my point and shoot, and are probably pretty boring to look at. Actually, there are lots of other places I went, but I don't want to go too overboard. But hey, this is my life!!!

9:00 AM- Leaving home for a day on the road.

9:30 AM- At the carwash! Since nature refuses to give my car a bath, I guess I'll have to pay for one!

9:50 AM- Whoo hoo for free childcare! We love going to Grandy and Popaw's (David's parents) house, however we are secretly jealous of thier beautiful yard!

10:30 AM- Quick trip to Best Buy to get some much-needed iPhone accessories!

10:45 AM- My home away from home, Willis Knighton Pierremont, for yet another doctor's appointment. I'll post results on the family blog later when I have a chance to compose the novel that always accompanies my medical appointments!

1:15 PM- After a LONG wait at the doctor's, glad to see daylight again! Off to Michael's for a quick browsing trip for MOPS crafts.

2:45 PM- Home Sweet Home! FINALLY!

Day 163- A Day in the Life...

I haven't done a theme week in a while and I got the idea for this one the other day. But I'm afraid I'll run out of ideas before the end of the week is over, but here we go. This week, I'll be shooting pics of the same object from the same spot at different times throughout the day.

Today's subject: A Day in the Life of... My Hummingbird Feeder

When I put my hummingbord feeder up over a month ago, it immediately starting getting lots of action. However, lately it seems that many of my clients are not hummingbirds at all. Maybe all these other folks have scared them away!

8:00 AM- The faithful guardian arrives. We see this guy all day, every day. He stands watch on the feeder and even turns his body upside down to drink from it. I was very surprised to see the huge number of regular birds we have drinking from our feeder- I'm guessing that since it's so hot outside, they'll take anothing they can get.

9:20 AM- More customers. Bees and dirt-dobbers.

4:00 PM- Notice the depleted level of liquid after my 7+ hour break in photos. Finally, the right kind of patron!

6:30 PM- All quiet on the feeder front!

Day 162

Feeling hot, hot, hot! We could only stand a little while outside today (well, okay- Bailey could have stood more, but Mama was H-O-T!), but B made good use of it riding every single one of her outdoor vehicles. We were both super excited that she FINALLY is able to reach the pedals on her tricycle she got over a year ago! And I'm sure the 2 sizes too big ruby slippers helped too!
