Day 85

We had lots of friends over tonight for an old-fashioned bonfire and weenie roast. Bailey was absolutely ecstatic about every bit of it!
And when I say bonfire, I mean this thing was HUGE!!! Hopefully the fire department does not have to come out later tonight!
Bailey was in awe when Daddy lit the fire! I like to call this her pregnant pose or her impression of Mommy!!!
I'm so thankful we have a big place in the country so we can do things like this! This little happy face makes it all worthwhile!

Day 84

We've created a monster! Bailey has now learned that music actually comes out of the iPod! She was amazed!!! She loved the "little square!" (Excuse her ragamuffin appearance- right after bath and before bedtime)

Day 83

I know, I know- I posted about bubbles yesterday, but this was really all I had to work with today. This was Bailey's reward for taking a nap and being a good girl at school today.
We also went exploring outside and saw HUGE green swallowtail moth that has been in the same spot on our back door since yesterday. Bailey made sure it was still alive!!!

Day 82

Tiny bubbles...

After spending most of the day working inside, Bailey and I desperately needed some fresh air. So when Daddy came home this evening, we went outside to blow bubbles. We are really loving these evenings of sunlight! Bailey doesn't really have a whole lot of patience for bubbles- and she never has got the hang of blowing them (she either holds the wand right up to her mouth or blows too hard). But tonight she did it and was so excited!!!

Day 80

Oh what a day! We began our day when B woke up at 6:30 and promptly informed me that she was NOT going back to sleep. So my mission was to tire her out so she AND I could take a good nap later. The episode on Mickey Mouse Clubhouse today was about an obstacle course and so I decided that I'd make one for Bailey to help with the tiring out process. It involved many stations with activites like crawling through a tunnel, kicking balls down the hall, and jumping over dogbones. She was very excited about the "Popsicle Course" and went through it ALL DAY LONG. She even took a few turns as Scooter the dog and helped various buddies through it as well. How unfortunate for you all that you don't get any pictures of Mommy going through it because Mommy didn't fit very well underneath the chair or through the hole in the TV tray. Bailey was actually standing behind me pushing me though. Such a great activity that I recommend to any wanting to tire out their kids!!!

Day 79

Bees please!!! We have all kinds of critters coming out this spring- today alone I saw lizards, butterflies, caterpillars, and lots of bees! Those bees certainly have lots of flowers to choose from around here. Although we had the HUGE (dead) azalea bed taken out in front of our house, there's still 3 1/2 more acres of flowers left!
