Day 325

Homemade lemonade! YUMMMM!!!

Day 324

Brother Man is 3 months old today!!!

I know I say this every month, but time has really flown by! Here's a few things he's been keeping busy with the past month:

  • Max celebrated his 1st Halloween as the Scarecrow from the Wizard of Oz

  • Max has started "talking" and loves to coo and make sounds for anyone who will listen

  • He started rolling over (tummy to back both ways)!!!

  • He is IN LOVE with his Teddy Bear and enjoys snuggling with it at naptime.

  • He loves to sit up. I bought him a Bumbo for Christmas, but am debating on giving it to him early because he wants to badly to sit up!

  • He also loves standing up. He's gonna be a early walker I'm pretty sure!

  • Much to my dismay, Max has begun teething- and I forgot how HORRIBLE that was!!!

Day 323- Thankful!

Figured I'd share a few things other family members are thankful for. Here is Bailey's cute placemat she made at school. As you can see, she's thankful for Mommy and Daddy and her buddies. I guess Brother might make the list next year. Speaking of Max, I'm pretty sure he's thankful for my boobs!!!

Day 322- Thankful!

Today I am thankful for the little things in life! Because sometimes it's the little things that make our world go round!!!

For example, I am thankful for my boppy!

Those of you who know me well know that my boppy is like another apendage on my body and travels everywhere with me. I physically CANNOT nurse a baby without it. So when my mom kept Max on Wednesday, she wanted me to bring her the boppy in case she wanted to prop him up on it. Unfortunately my husband forgot to bring it home and I had to go until FRIDAY without it!!! It was a crisis!!!

Oh, and I'm also thankful for maternity pants, because my stomach is swollen up to about a 5 month pregnant size right now and I can't fit into my pants once again!!!

Day 321- Thankful!

Today I am thankful for freedom! And I am honored to say that some of my best girl friends have husbands who serve our country in the air force so that we may be free. Today's pictures are not my own, so forgive me. However, I saw these photos of the UDT- SEAL museum memorial wall in Florida on Facebook and had to share them as today's photos. I am still constantly reminded of the bravery of my friends and fallen Navy SEALS Jonas Kelsall and Rob Reeves, whose names both appear on the second picture. Thank you to all of the heros who make our world a better place!

Day 320- Thankful!

Another bad iPhone image today, but hey, it's what I'm working with the day after surgery! Today (and every day) I am thankful for my dear husband who supports me in every way possible! He will be the first to admit that he's no Baby-Whisperer, but he has done great on Daddy Duty while I've been recovering!

I am also thankful for my wonderful family members who helped keep the kiddos so I could recuperate. My mom was super-sweet to keep Max for his first day away from Mommy (she's a saint!). And my step-mother and dad kept Bailey for two days, which was a relief since she goes ninety miles an hour! Even my grandparents, who are in their 80s, are coming Friday to spend the day with us and help. And thank you to my loving friends who called and sent messages checking on me! My cup runneth over!!!

Day 319- Thankful!

Today is surgery day (For those of you not in the loop, I had to have surgery to repair an umbilical hernia. I was scheduled to have it at the same time as my scheduled C-section with Max, but since he came at night on a weekend, I had to wait until another time!). Obviously, today I am thankful for doctors and nurses who have kept me alive the past year!!! It has definitely been a year, and now we have the medical bills to prove it!

Of course there were a few nerves about the surgery (actually a day away from both kids was a much needed break- even if it was under these circumstances!). But when I entered my surgery pre-op room today and saw this on the dry-erase board, I felt at peace. So today I am also thankful for people who are not shy about their faith and feel comfortable proclaiming that God truly is in control!
