Day 245
Just a couple of pictures to prove that I...
#1 ...have not forgotten about my other child!
and #2 ... my baby does open his eyes (I guess I may have gotten carried away with the sleeping baby pics lately)!

Day 242
I made this sign for Max's door at the hospital and now have it hanging in his room at home. I know this Bible verse is very overused with new babies, but it was so perfect for this sweet boy that I knew I had to use it!
Day 240
Bailey has really done well adjusting to life with a new baby, but today she decided that she was a baby again. She crawled around the house and wanted to play on his playmat.
Day 239- About a Boy...
I tried to warn Daddy about how little boys like to tee-tee on you when you change their diaper, but he had to learn the hard way!!! I actually thought it was pretty funny!
Day 238- About a Boy...
Max had his 1 week check up today and got a glowing report!!! My sweet baby who weighed 7 pounds at birth and came home from the hospital weighing 6 lbs 14 oz, was already back up to 7 lbs 2 oz today. Dr. Ritch was super-impressed and told me I should start selling my milk on the black market!!! Made me think of my button that I got at MOPS convention last year. I've been saving it for a special occasion like this!
Day 237- About a Boy...
Had my 5-day postpartum check up today. I told the office staff that I might as well get an entire office photo with Max since there were so many doctors and medical personnel involved in the birth of this child. Below is Dr. Kristy Waltman, my OB doctor and Aimee Smiley, the nurse practitioner that I saw a few times and helped deliver Bailey. Unfortunately my old OB, Jake Majors, had to quit mid-pregnancy because of medical problems so I don't have his pic. I also don't have a pic with Dr. Darrell Sandifer who actaully delivered little Max since he was the doc on call that night. See what I mean???
Day 235- About a Boy...
I'm so mad that I didn't get any more pictures than this on our "Going Home Day." We had planned to keep Bailey with family for a few more days after we got home, but I had the crazy feeling that I wanted my family unit back together so we went by and picked her up on our way home from the hospital.
Not a great picture at all- but here's his little going home attire!

Sweet baby feet in the Doyal Family traditional baby booties. These have been worn home from the hospital by Doyal babies for years.
Day 233- About a Boy...
Big Sister Bailey met her new brother today! We weren't sure how it would go, but were pretty happy with the outcome.
Bailey and her special sticker
I had pre-purchased some gifts for Baby Max to "give" Bailey when she met him. The nurses rolled his cart in and had the presents displayed for her to see. She was so excited! She told me he was like Santa Baby because he brought her presents.
Day 232
More details on the family blog later about the birth of our precious baby boy, but here's some pics to tie you over for now!
Max William Doyal

7 pounds, 21 inches long
Surprise! I'm here!!!
Meeting Mommy and Daddy
Big Sister keeping watch!
Mommy getting to hold her bundle of joy for the first time (glad I actually remember it this time!!!) Please excuse my fat face- it grosses me out!
Day 231
So if you've been to my house in the past 9 months, you've seen our baby growth chart. I did the same thing for my kids at school when I was pregnant with Bailey so they could see how big the baby was. Bailey absolutely LOVES the chart. She thinks it's fun to stand by it and tell us how much bigger she is than the baby. Interesting to see if his size matches up when we finally get to meet him!!!
